Terms of service

The rules for using Stonecut Studio: what you can do with the maps, what you cannot do on the service, and how paying works.

In these terms, “we” and “us” means Stonecut Studio, and “you” means the person using the service. By making an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You describe a Minecraft map, an AI plans and builds it, you fly around it in your browser and download it as a schematic.

There is no free map building. Every generation, plans included, needs a paid plan or credits. A free account lets you browse the maps on the site, fly around them and download the free maps.

What each plan includes and how many credits a map uses is on the pricing page.

Stonecut Studio is for people 13 and older. Where the law where you live sets a higher age, you need a parent's or guardian's consent below that age.

You sign in with an email link, Google or Discord. Keep those accounts safe: you are responsible for what is done with your account.

A map you generate and paid for is fully yours, including for commercial use, such as on a paid server or selling it.

Crediting it with “Made with Stonecut Studio” is welcome but not required.

AI output may not be unique. Someone else can get a similar map from a similar request, and we cannot promise that nobody else gets one like yours.

You are responsible for what you ask the AI to build and for how you use the result.

The maps we give away for free, such as the ones in the showcase gallery and the free section of the marketplace, are free to use, for example on your server or in your videos.

When you use one, you must credit it with “Made with Stonecut Studio” where people can see it, such as on your server's website or in a video description.

When a zone of your map is set to Ultra and no ready-made builder fits, the AI writes a custom builder for it: a small program that builds that part of the map.

We may add these builders to our shared library, so they can be used in everyone's maps. The person whose map first led to a builder may be credited as its first maker.

Your map stays yours. Only the builder can be shared.

  • Ask for, make or share anything illegal or hateful.
  • Try to get around limits, credits or the caps on each build.
  • Attack the service, for example by overloading it, probing it for weak spots or getting into other people's accounts.
  • Resell or share access to your account or your plan.
  • Scrape the site or download maps in bulk with scripts or bots.

We may refuse a prompt, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, so Paddle's buyer terms also apply to it, and Paddle handles billing, tax and receipts.

Subscriptions renew each month. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

When you can get your money or credits back is set out in our refund policy.

Full credits are on the About page.

We work to keep the service running and your maps safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. An AI can build something wrong or strange, so look a map over before you put it on a live server, and keep your own copy of the files you download.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, or damage on your own server or world after you paste a map. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

These limits never cover harm caused on purpose or by gross fault. If you live in Quebec or anywhere else whose consumer law does not allow a limit, that limit does not apply to you.

You can delete your account at any time on the Account page.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we tell you why.

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for you, we tell you by email or on the site before it applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live and can bring a dispute before your local courts.
